Dr. Ted and the Stone is an NYC-Based Alternative Hard Roots-Rock Band. Named for their college professor, Dr. Ted and the Stone draws on their collective and individual musical experiences to create a unique blend of style, harmony, space, and lyricism through their music. The multi-instrumentalism of Dr. Ted allows them to approach performing as a collaborative effort, serving itself to cater to any setting and genre. Playing a wide selection of Jazz standards, covers, originals, and traditional music, Dr. Ted and The Stone is available for all your musical needs.

Judah "Jude" S. Goldman

Lead Vocals, Guitar, Bass, Piano, Mandolin, Cello, Organ/Keys, Harmonica

Judah S. Goldman is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and performer based in New York City and Frontman for Dr. Ted and The Stone. A Classically-trained musician and Graduate of Muhlenberg College, Judah works in a variety of musical settings including bars, clubs, weddings, nursing homes, playhouses, and private events. In addition to performing, Judah spends his off time writing and recording music with bandmates José D. Cruz and Andrew Berger and enjoying the magical world around him. Judah often dreams about ruling the world with an iron first but will likely just retire on some island somewhere to raise Pomeranians.

José D. Cruz

Guitar, Piano, Bass, Trumpet, Cuatro Puertorriqueño, Backing Vocals

José D. Cruz is a multi-instrumentalist and performer based in Northern NJ. He and Judah have been writing and performing music for almost 5 years now and he and the rest of Dr. Ted have over 5 years of experience playing together. In addition to this, José is a Music Director and Instructor at Porch Light Studio, Stage & School in Glen Rock, NJ, where he’s discovered a love for musical theater performance and instruction. Originally a classically trained pianist, José has since broadened his musical arsenal to include guitar, trumpet, bass, and percussion. He delights in reharmonizing church hymns and playing Runescape in his downtime. José also held a dog for the entirety of Judah’s wedding and it was the highlight of his life.

Andrew "Berger" Berger

Maddux "Menachem Mendel" Pearson

Drums, Percussion, Backing Vocals

Maddux Pearson is a drummer and archivist from southeastern Pennsylvania currently living in New York City. He went to Muhlenberg College for his undergraduate degree, where he majored in music and history and met all the members of Dr. Ted and the Stone. In addition to his drumming duties for this band, Maddux is the drummer for Brooklyn-based rock band Modern Fictions.

Andrew Berger is a multifaceted musician and graduate of Muhlenberg College. Along with performing with Dr Ted and the Stone, he has skills in sound design, producing, mixing and mastering records. Most recently, he has worked on Avatar the Last Airbender, and two feature-length documentaries to be released in the coming months.
